Review This Haunt
  • Loved it

Very scary, especially while we were sitting in the car waiting our turn. I was so scared I almost didn't get out of the car, but I got up nerve and so glad I did. We will be going back for Family night. Want to take the kids.

  • High Desert Haunted House extremely scarey

Scariest haunted house I've ever been to as an adult. So many rooms and characters jumping out at you. Lots of terror waiting in line made for more fun with my group. Definitely the best Halloween attraction in the Mojave River Valley Region.

  • Email Verified Misleading Hype

Debated for awhile to leave this review, but it really needs to be said. They really hype this place up as a professional haunt, but it was in someones back yard, granted, someone has amassed quite a lot of junk, and did an interesting job of re-purposing it. I was told I could donate cans, but when I asked where the cans go they just said charity, and refused to define which one. Sketchy. They were selling food, literally grilling and selling it, I work for the health department, and this place was definitely not.... qualified. An actor was in my face reeking of alcohol, and there were extension cords everywhere and the dirt ground was very unstable, I tripped several times. The description for this place claims they are professional, and they are not. By any means. As long as you attend understanding exactly what it is, you wont be as disappointed. It is a home haunt, a bunch of friends who love Halloween, collect a lot of junk and creatively found a way to utilize it. It was described as sort of a Mad Max experience, I guess I just misunderstood that, I thought it was meant as a compliment. Its cute in that respect, but very disappointing if you are ok with paying $12 for a home haunt.

  • Great Haunted House

Awesome detail put into this, having snacks from Papa John's was a bonus, the lines weren't as bad as some, only 40 minute wait, (we waited 2 1/2 for Rein of terror), they had creatures everywhere, as soon as you hit the parking lot, also let us take pictures with this creepy Scarecrow & some clowns, The detail in some of the Rooms was fantastic, lots of pop up Scares from all over. Had a great time. Will be back.

  • Email Verified Extreme ??

Went on Extreme night 18 yrs + Only night. As soon as I pulled my car in to park there was a Scarecrow peering in my window. Lol I read here it was 3 haunted houses.I only went/saw 2.Maybe I missed something? Maybe it was the 1 porta potty that was the 3rd scary place.Alot of visitors and one toilet? Come on your charging$8.- $12 a head & one toilet and volunteers as the actors? Somebody filling their pockets?? They had Papa John's booth selling slices of pizza & warm cans of soda. While waiting & waiting to get in the 1 haunt. The actors kept the guests entertained in line which was good, since the long wait.Alot of cool details & decor went into the entrance.Inside lived up to that also. 1st haunt was ok.Nothing over the top could of been 13yrs + for this part of haunt. The second picked up the scares a couple notches... Except another long wait and some not so scary volunteer talk & talked which in turn I almost fell asleep.Ok finally inside the had some good spook going on .oh BTW each group of people had an escort, which we wondered what happened to them in the mazes half the time. One part a actor asked " Aren't you scared" ?& tried to grab me & tie my hands. You do sign a waiver when you pay saying you might be touched, kidnapped etc maybe even death ( if you fall into something & get pierced or even fall into that stinky ONLY toilet & die the must awful painful death. Well I was told also I couldn't touch the actors so why should they be able to touch me.?? I told him no and was told you need to lighten up & go drink a beer maybe? Huh ?? Maybe I should of before coming here but I already had a good laugh & I can say maybe once the loud noise of a chainsaw scared me that was about it & the creature of the raw sewage maybe from that box with a hole in it. You heard lots of screams coming from the mazes so the actors/ volunteers were doing their jobs & must love doing it since they weren't getting paid. I might come check it out again if the owner.Pays his actors some kind of wages, they do a great job,Get some kind of seats so while your guests that paid your entrance fee since they have to wait.Doesnt help since some of the people in my group we're partially disabled and or getting old & could not stand for long periods of time.Timed one of the lines was about a 35-40min wait.Invest in another porta potty for the at least 75-100 people that I saw while I was there. One don't cut it.Ice maybe for those warm sodas that we're being sold.To summon up my visit.Great details on your props, great actors ( maybe pitch them a little $$$ they earned .Extreme night maybe Intense & Scary for some, others that have a sick mind to whore & Gore's. Go home & get a good wank& great laugh while thinking he is making bank that runs the place. But a good ?? since he's helping out the local church's with the canned food he donates to food banks instead of pocketing the $2. Extra bucks he gave up to help feed those in need.
