My wife and I stayed at the Scotia Inn one night Sept 2021. We had no idea it was supposed to be haunted.
When we checked in, we definitely felt a Shining vibe from the lobby. But again we weren’t aware of the Inn’s history.
We stayed on the second floor. I don’t recall the room number. In the middle of the night, maybe around midnight , I was awoken by something. I then noticed the faint but distinct sound of a ball bouncing in the hallway.
My wife didn’t hear this, she was asleep. But in the morning she said she was awoken by the sound of adults talking like they had just returned from a party.
But the next morning we checked and our car was the only one parked there, and we saw no other guests that morning at all.

I was a child visiting the restaurant. I saw a man standing near the men's restroom, just disappeared into the air. I haven't heard of anyone else reporting a ghost in that area,so idk. I also heard the kitchen was haunted from the workers.

I lived in Scotia about 15 years ago. My husband and I stayed at the Scotia Inn while waiting for our house to be ready. We were on the “haunted” floor, but not in the wing that has reports of activity. We didn’t experience anything, but my husband worked in upper management for PALCO and heard stories from the CEO and others. The company put up visiting business people at the inn. Shortly before we moved there, a gentleman was staying there alone because the inn wasn’t officially open. He knocked on the CEO’s door in the middle of the night and told him he wasn’t staying at the inn anymore- he heard sounds of several people talking on the floor he was staying on. He spent the rest of his time in Scotia sleeping at the director’s cottage. Most of the other stories I heard were audio and not visual, but many people who stayed there on business heard things they couldn’t explain.
