Mono Hot Springs
Mono Hot Springs, CA 93642
Located in California’s Sierra Nevada, the Mono Hot Springs is the perfect place to visit when you need some relaxation... or if you want to see some ghosts.
The resort and campgrounds have been home to some seriously spooky stories. From "The Woman in White" at Doris Lake to the "The Cowboy" at Old Pedro... you're bound to run into some paranormal guests during your stay here.
Doris Lake's Woman in White has been spotted from a distance by witnesses who described her as pretty from afar. It was only when the Woman in White grew nearer to the guests that they realized her face was rotted... as though she had been at the bottom of the lake for decades.
Old Pedro's Cowboy ghost was spotted by a group of friends who decided to enjoy the sunset while soaking in the hot springs. The friends heard splashing coming from the nearby San Joaquin River. They couldn't see anyone at first... then a man in cowboy clothing appeared. The friends thought he was another guest of the resort and tried speaking with him. The man didn't respond and continued to walk past them. Near Old Pedro, the man glided over the water of the hot spring and was then seen disappearing into a bush.
These spooky stories are only some of the scares that haunt this remote area. If you're brave enough to visit, be prepared at what (or who) you might come face to face with!
