The Keddie Resort is well known for the murders that took place there inside Cabin #28. The murders took place in April of 1981 - claiming the lives of victims Sue Sharp, Tina Louise Sharp, John Steven Sharp, and Dana Hall Wingate.

According to the infamous murder's Wikipedia page, on April 12th, Sue's daughter found her body along with John and Dana's after arriving home from a sleep over. All three victims had been bound with electrical cords and medical tape.

Tina's body had not been found until April of 1984 after a bottle collector discovered the cranium portion of a human skull and part of a mandible at Camp 18 in Butte County. Two months later, a forensic pathologist confirmed the remains were Tina's.

Some of the eerie reports that have taken place here include chairs moving on their own and writing that appears on the walls.

The real haunted area November 18-19, 1997

I've been through Keddie resort as a young Marine training at 29 Palms in SoCal at the time and while on leave with 2 other Marines that were in my squad, we traveled north for the week that we had and stayed in nearby Quincy to check out the site after hearing about it from other Marines that were local to the Northwest region, and although we didn't experience much around the location where cabin 28 stood, we did hear what sounded like someone walking through the water and footsteps on the bank of the Spanish creek. 2 nights in a row we heard it and no one was there or anywhere near us at all for that matter and at 2am at that. It was the only time in my life that I felt uneasy with my surroundings because I couldn't see anyone and I was a Force Recon Scout Sniper with 2nd Forecon/4th platoon and was very aware always naturally at that point. I fought 3 years in the middle east 2001-04 and never felt anything even close to what I felt those 2 days.
