American River Inn

The American River Inn of Georgetown offers 13 guest rooms and suites. It also is rumored to feature some ghostly spirits, too! The luxury bed and breakfast lodge is the host to a long history. It is said to be located near the site of a mine shaft that killed several miners during the gold rush days.

The inn itself is said to be haunted by a miner who had been shot dead on the front steps. The guests and staff refer to him as Oscar. Most of the paranormal activity, however, is located inside Room 5.
