Over the past 20 years, there have been nearly a dozen deaths that have occurred along this stretch of Brea Canyon Road. The road is somewhat winding and is extremely dark at night. Many witnesses have claimed to see "phantom hitchhikers" and other eerie phenomena in the area during the night.
