Bastille
Hanford, CA 93230
Around 1897, The Bastille was a prison until 1964 when the old ceiling caved in. Recently, it contained restaurants and night clubs, along with some ghosts, so the stories say. In restaurant kitchens, pots and pans have moved on their own and a heavy presence or feelings of being watched have been reported. The building is now rented out as office space.

Reviews
Went for a drink and an older gentleman behind the bar asked us if we knew that this place was haunted. We didn't. Just knew it was a creepy but cool looking old jail. We went up the stairs where he told us if you walk up or down them but suddenly stop, you might hear someone still walking behind you. Also he said when it was a jail that a dresser from somewhere in the UK had been sent there but the dresser had had a folded up deceased body in it. A woman. He thought that was what haunted the building. Super unique place though. Especially for those parts. They had old cells you could actually sit in with a individual tables and chairs for dining. Very very dimly lit. Had bands till residents complained to the city for noise disturbance. Once the music got banned it closed shortly thereafter. Must of been about 16 years or so ago.
