Didn't feel like driving to one of the bigger haunted attractions, so we tried this one close to home. Glad we did. What an amazing little surprise this was. Don't sleep on it. This will absolutely be at the top of the list for spooky seasons in years to come.

Better than some of the big guns in the haunted house scene. The smaller groups made a difference...you aren't just following a crowd of people bumping into each other. My kids have already started talking about next year and how much they want to go, and you know what, I'm with them.

Not gonna lie. I only went because my wife wanted to. Expected a few people in masks and some plywood walls. That's why I'm here. I'm impressed. The sets look cool and the sound is deafening. Kept looking in the wrong direction and getting caught off guard. We even picked some pumpkins beforehand. Happy wife happy life.

Went on Friday night and the lines were long but that seems to be expected. It was scary from the second we got in. The actors were RELENTLESS. Seriously. One came up behind me and I screamed so loud my coworker nearly died laughing. But then they got her too and all was well. Very embarrassing. We probably should have got the fast pass but the price was solid for the night.

1. For the record, my husband insists he wasn't scared. This is a lie.
2. It's a family-run place, and it shows. So much thought and care is put into everything. People who don't understand horror think it's just a bunch of wackos, but we all get it. This is a community, and Bernal is right at the center of it.

5. They apparently do community fundraisers and that's just lovely.

No doubt the best local haunt I've tried around San Jose so far. The outside doesn't really prepare you for how big the rooms feel once you're in there. Some of the rooms are genuinely unsettling rather than just people jumping out at you. It's a deep kind of fear without relying on jump scares and that's awesome. Went on a weeknight and the line was shorter so that's a plus. Still got the full experience I think. Always good to bring a friend who says they aren't scared of anything. A little extra entertainment.

My daughter is 12 and this was her first haunted house. She almost changed her mind before we went in. The staff were really kind to her and then about halfway through she was having a great time. She wanted to go again immediately afterward. Just a great atmosphere here and people you want to support.
