Rispin Mansion
Capitola, CA 95010
The Rispin Mansion in Capitola was built to help draw interest to the town that is located right outside of Santa Cruz. The home was owned by William Allen Rispin and he failed to attend to the water and sewage systems and slowly let the property degrade over time. The mansion was still left neglected after being sold to a business partner. It was then sold again and used as a nun convent until 1957.
The grounds stayed empty throughout the 70s and 80s, and the mansion began to spark paranormal rumors. Witnesses have reported hearing eerie whispers on site and have seen things out of the corner of their eye. There has been a number of ghost hunting teams on site of the Rispin Mansion to help find out where the hauntings come from.
