Bodie State Historic Park in Bridgeport, California is a gold-mining ghost town where visitors go to roam deserted streets that were once home to about 8,000 people. In the ghost town that used to have around 2,000 structures, is a library that is believed to be haunted. There's a well known ghost that seems to enjoy guarding the library's ancient collection. The apparition is believed to be that of an old librarian who has remained dedicated to her work. Witnesses have reported feelings of being watched along with a presence brushing past them while walking down the aisles of bookshelves. There's even been reports of a "shushing" sound, possibly the librarian trying to keep visitors quiet.
